Passionnée de musique depuis un très jeune âge, April Heinrich a grandi à Edmonton au sein de la communauté francophone où elle a participé à plusieurs programmes de musique, notamment le Galala d’Edmonton et l’ensemble vocal Clé. Pendant ses études à l’Université de l’Alberta, April a développé une grande passion pour les chorales: elle a travaillé avec Sangkor, Mannskor et SingAble de la Faculté Augustana (U of A) et elle fait partie couramment de l’équipe artistique de l’ensemble vocal Clé, de la Chorale Saint-Jean (U. of A) et des Chantamis. En plus d’avoir un baccalauréat en musique de l’Université de l’Alberta, April détient aussi un diplôme de l’Institut de Kodaly en éducation de musique et un baccalauréat en éducation du Campus SaintJean (U. of A). April poursuit ses études en direction chorale sous la tutelle de Tim Shantz dans le cadre du programme de maîtrise de l’Université de l’Alberta.
Passionate about music from a very young age, April Heinrich grew up in Edmonton within the Francophone community, where she participated in several music programs, including the Galala d’Edmonton and Ensemble Clé. During her studies at the University of Alberta, April developped a deep passion for choirs: she worked with Sangkor, Mannskor, and SingAble from the Augustana Faculty (U of A), and she is currently a part of the artistic team of the vocal ensemble Clé, the Chorale Saint-Jean (U of A), and the Chantamis. In addition to holding a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Alberta, April also has a diploma from the Kodaly Institute in music education and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Campus Saint Jean (U of A). This Year, April is continuing her studies in choral conducting under the guidance of Tim Shantz as part of the Master’s program at the University of Alberta.
