Pianist

Michelle Hébert, B. Mus.-B. Éd.

Born in Edmonton, Michelle Hébert is a Franco-Albertan pianist and teacher.  She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the Université Moncton and a Masters in Piano Pedagogy from the Université Laval.  She is the founder of her own piano studio, Studio Hébert and has been teaching piano to the young and old for over 20 years.  She is also teaching music in French immersion and Francophone schools.  Having a passion for playing, she accompanies choirs and soloists with expertise.  With the arrival of her four daughters, Michelle has since specialized in teaching the young 4 to 5 year old beginners.  She was inspired to create a beginner piano method book based on Kodaly’s pedagogy after receiving a scholarship to study in Keckemet, Hungary at the Kodaly Institute. She is thrilled to be joining les Chantamis.
