Armand Birk is a student in the Bachelor of Music program at the University of Alberta. Originally from Victoria, BC, Armand’s initial experience as a musician was as a Bassist for Jazz, Folk and Blues bands. It wasn’t until he began his vocal studies with Dr. Laurier Fagnan at Campus Saint-Jean in 2014 that he found his love and passion for Choral and Orchestral music. Armand currently studies classical voice with Elizabeth Turnbull and conducting with both Dr. Leonard Ratzlaff and Dr. Angela Schroeder. In addition to acting as Les Chantamis’ Assistant Director, Armand is also section lead for Chorale Saint-Jean and currently works for the Centre de véveloppement musical de l’Alberta as an instructor and as an assistant artistic director the Galala.
